How My Star Ratings Work
Because I make no claims to good taste, the star ratings I give to books reflect my expectations of my similarity to the potential audience. In brief:
- 0 stars: this book was a waste of my time and I can’t imagine anyone else liking it either
- 1 star: I liked this book but I think someone would have to be pretty similar to me to enjoy it.
- 2 stars: I liked this book and I think people who would disagree with me about many things would still enjoy it.
- 3 stars: I liked this book and I can’t imagine why someone else wouldn’t like it.
