Feeling beleagured and under rested?  Here are some time honored ways to medicate this.

  • play games, lots of them
  • read stuff with low retention need
  • have you considered drinking?

Congregation

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

I’ve started using friendfeed as a waystation for aggregation before my feeds hit Planet Binder.  So you don’t need to be pulling from both.  Or, either, really.  Note that the tumblr and gReader feeds often contain pr0n so you may prefer to exclude those from your pull.  Or perhaps prefer and highlight them. Get down with your bad elf.

Light Weekends

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

I think I spend the weekends much more in passive consumption mode and so I write less original stuff and spend most of my time off reading feeds, sending stuff to delicious, to my Powell’s wishlist, to my tumblelog and just grooving on all the wonders of the internet.  With that in mind, here’s probably the best of the best of what I read this weekend online.

Which now has me thinking that I should put together a page sharing all the social places I frolic for those who like that kind of thing.  Kind of like the footflare I used to have on the blosxom blog.

Paeans to Joe

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

I know my wife loves me because when I came home there was a box on my desk. In the box was the Trader Joe’s Classic Cookie Collection. I tried to find a URL to show you what I’m talking about. I couldn’t find one. But I found this page of love poems to a particular Trader Joe’s store. I found this page with a brief history of Trader Joe’s, via this blog about Trader Joe’s, which reminded me of my childhood, wandering the aisles of Aldi’s the Stock Up Store.

I took a picture of what was on my desk because I wanted everyone to be impressed.
